Cubs Graphghan

Go Cubs Go!
Well, I'm officially hooked (haha, hooked... see what I did there?) on making graphghans.  Once I learned how to do it, it was surprisingly simple!  The first one I made was Star Wars inspired, and made from someone else's graph.  After that, I knew I had to try and make my own.

Here's a pic from when I tragically ran out of blue yarn.  Had to do another trip to the store!

Of course, I thought a nice big Chicago Cubs blanket would be fun.  I made mine with Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Royal, Cherry Red and Bright White.  I'm planning on using this as a blanket to sit on when my husband and I go to watch old movies at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Anyway, here's my graph:

Not bad for my first try!

It's 80 squares long, and 60 squares tall.  I know it's not perfect, but the blanket turned out nice and big.  I made my blanket with a c2c pattern with double crochet stitches.  Feel free to make your own blanket!  I obviously don't own this logo, but we all need to cheer on our Cubbies!  This year is finally OUR YEAR!

    1. It's kind of a toddler-sized blanket. It comes out to about 3'x 4' and we use it for outdoor picnics. It's the perfect size for one person, so we each have one!

  2. Hi! I would like to make this graphgan for a 10 year old boy who is battling leukemia. Any suggestions as I have been crocheting for 30 years but never done a graphgan.
