1 lb extra firm tofu, drained
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
2 tablespoons sesame oil
Line a plate with paper towel and place tofu on top and line with additional paper towels.
Place a plate on top and weigh down with any canned food you have. You want to drain as much liquid from the tofu as possible.
Let it set for at least 20 minutes.
Once drained, cut the tofu into about 12 sticks and lay flat on a baking dish.
In a small bowl, combine all ingredients and pour over the tofu.
Marinate for an hour.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Place tofu sticks on a parchment lined baking tray. Bake for 30 minutes.
Let cool and serve.
DO NOT use a baking sheet! Make sure the moisture can't run off the tray.
